AMD is coming out with a new processor that uses eight cores and it will compete against Intel’s core i5 chipset that has been out performing AMD’s current chipsets. With the ability to overclock the cores with a higher voltage and frequency will provide a greater performance. AMD is also pricing the new processor FX- 8150 at $245. There have been benchmarks that tested the speed and efficiency of the new processor and the data was compared to Intel's core i5 and core i7. Impressively, the FX-8150 was able to surpass the core i5 and equal and even beat the core i7. Intel’s core i7 chipset model is $55 more than the FX-8150 giving a price advantage towards AMD
